Serious problem with aircrafts mainenance status

Post by Ionathan » Tue Mar 07, 2006 12:49 pm

I have noticed a new bug. Some aircrafts are in 100% maintenance status in the fleet list but when you try to put them in the open leasing market they appear as 0%. I experienced it in two of my aircrafts (SX-AGO and N100PJ) but I have the feeling it concerns more. I believe it is s serious defect.

I have noticed also that the specific aircrafts appear in the aircrafts list as 0% although in the fleet appear as 100% and they are for sure 100%. I also spotted a lot more aircrafts having the same problem. Some of them are Ionathan owned but the problem impacts other VAs as well. I have gathered a few examples below but as I mention these are only a few examples. The problem seems to be much larger:

Ok, I think I have gathered them all. It is obviously a bug and none of them are crashed as despite their status appears as 0%, their value is not reduced which means that all the aircrafts should appear at 100%. Here they are:

Ok, I looked at trouble shooting this, and I need you to try one thing, can you try to repair one of the 734s? Does it change the status when you attempt to lease it? Does it cost you money?

For some reason the B734 now look at 50%. In fact I added the data about the engines (2). The value is still 44 millions (as a 100% millions) and if I try to repair one it costs me about 23 millions.

Ok, same issue as other people then, just let Konny edit your actual aircraft. I'm guessing that when you flew it, or touched it in some way, before it was edited it (such as putting it up for lease) it changed the data to no engines (on your planes) but when the actual 734 master was changed to have 2 engines, your aircraft (with no engines) is now at 50%. Thats my guess, and it is a guess, but your best bet is Konny.

I have assumed so and I edited the engined to 2. However, I guess (also) that it may not affect the active (purchased) aircrafts for some reason and it remains in 50%. Waiting for Konny.

Konny wrote:I just fixed that. You bought the aircraft before the data had been updated and so some wrong values where written into your new aircraft's database entry.
He said that yesterday, so especially if you purchased it before it was fixed, thats definetly the problem. Glad we figured it out. :)

Ionathan, I'm testing the signatures, can you book a flight with an A333? If the 747 shows up still, than all the pictures are missing. I just noticed because a 738 should be showing up right now on my sig, but its still a MD-11

hmm, Odd, but there is a 738 photo in the DB, maybe its not linked to the sigs yet. Oh well, our Programmer extraodinaire will fix that (extremely minor) problem soon Im sure.

Thanks for testing it Ionathan.
