Use of decimals on finances

Post by Henry Jeckill » Tue Dec 11, 2007 5:33 pm

I don't know if this is a bug or not but it is something i've seen tonight

For example, on fuel cost it says: Fuelprice (1.25v$) x 1.234 x Fuel bought (720kg ) = -1.111v$. If we use all decimals, the final result is 1.110,6 which means a bit difference beetwen what those calcs says and what the real ones are

ups sorry for the delay, i forgot this topic at all. Just wanted to say that in case cents were taken into account, my total budget would be at around 18.000 v$ more that what I have now. Cent by cent... was built the Everest

EDIT. A good idea could be that system calculate the cents, but show what it shows now. in that case you will always have the real budget. I think that is not much difficult to program because you already have the necessary data. Just a bit change when calculating and... voilà!
