Client load my CPU to more then 25%!

Post by Necroscope » Tue Nov 27, 2007 7:01 pm

Hello all!
It`s really strange, but when I've start Fly-net client software - it's load-up my Core 2 Quad to at least 25%!!!
Guys, It's really sad for me to lose one core of CPU only for client...

Can I fix it some how?

Turn off the tracker. Do a search of the forum, it's been addressed multiple times.

What do you mean - "Turn off the tracker." ?
Is fly-net will "loging" my fly if I "Turn off the tracker"?
How can I "Turn off the tracker"?

I've search on forum before posting, but perhaps I should use other search request...

...and FlyNET client will perfectly load your flight report. Don't be alarmed if you notice that your flight is not on the map. It remains in booked statte until the client sends the report at the end of your flight. It's normal with the Tracker off. Also, you don't have to be online during your flight this way, except when the client sends the pirep (applying the parking brake).

it doesnt really matter, FlyNET client takes up like 30% (depends, sometimes its as low as 5%) of my cpu and doesnt affect flight simulator at all.

What does the tracker do? It tracks the flights (obvious) and on the flight monitor you can see the aircrafts that are flying right now, since they are being tracked by the embedded tracking program.

Thanx Miikoyan.
As far as I understand - Tracker - provide some data for on-line system. In common words - to print "Enroute" on my signature, right? :)
Ok, thanx.

BTW - anybody know - how offen fly-net guys updating aircraft database?
I've post some more-real details on edit page, but it's not there almost a week...

I check 2-3 times a week. If it's not up, it may have been denied. There are certain rules of what is accepted into the database, and it may have been that it was denied for not complying with those rules because I've gotten a large glut of additions that don't.

Hello CAPFlyer,
Thank you for quick ansver!

The question is:
I've send some edited data for DC-10-30.
I've digged trought this document (link bellow) and find that DC-10-30 in Fly-net can carry only 17521kg, but in document it can take 46180kg.
It's happened because ZFW and DOW are incorrect according the document.
I'm also can take only pax aboard - without any cargo.

BTW - Can we move this disscution to other topic? ^)

And - THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THINGS YOU ARE DOING!!!!

The client should only use max CPU if you're below 1000ft AGL (or maybe more) or not in flight state.
