The Big Bug List

Post by cmdrnmartin » Sat Jan 28, 2006 7:09 pm

The Big Bug List v0.1 (Alpha) for Konny (Cause he wanted it )

No Passengers/Zero Income

The instances vary, but Safari has reported that sometimes his ticket price gets shunted to zero upon landing, and thus incurrs a big loss on his flights.

Database
B773ER is undervalued by 22million.

Time Zones
FLYNet should read GMT, not the local time to determine flying time, currently, it can even give you negative time...

Distance from airports
Mentioned before, with runways far from terminal, FLYNet appears to not read it as being at the airport. Vancouvers 24L does this, as does a few of Houston's and Denver's.

The Unexplainable Crashes
Usually occur in the descent phase of flight, or when ATC talks. FLYNet crashes, and thus does not register touchdown. Possible fix might be a client that works offline, ie does not query the internet exept at the beggining to get flight info, and at the end, allows for a manual send (button) that reconnects it to the database and transmits final information.

Large, Unexplainable Bugs will be added as found

We just had the same bug that Safari did, no crash, but there was no money counted for the flight, resulting in a loss. Not sure what might have caused it, but definetly something to look into, since the problem is obviously not localized to Safari, as Kiwaroo and Wardair have had it now too.
