5400nm showing 'out of range' for 744

Post by ALT2024 » Sun Nov 04, 2007 6:33 am

Hi, my pilots report that they can't book a flight EGCC-FACT in the 744 pax version. When they try to book they get a message 'out of range of aircraft', but the route is 5400nm and the max range of the 744 is 7200nm. A week or so ago, we were able to fly the 744F successfully on the same route, and that aircraft has a shorter range. Something strange is happening.

Since posting we've booked and flown the route successfully in a 744 pax version so I guess we must have been trying to book in the 744F without realizing it. The route distance is greater than the max range of the 747F as shown on the fleet page. I've taken the 747F off that route.
