Airport Database Edit and Add

Post by UKD192 » Sun Jun 18, 2006 4:58 pm

Hi,

I have about 31 Airports to add in the South Pacific, and decided to modify/edit one that is actually wrong in the French Polynesia database.
Termez - UTST is listed as being in French Polynesia, when in fact its in the middle of Uzbekistan.
However, whilst editing this to reflect an actual missing airport, I could not get the Longitude (Lon) field to go higher than 99 West or East.
Its going to be a bit difficult editing the Pacific where they are nearly all between 100-179 East and 100-179 West :P

Is there a link to add airports, or should I compile a list and send them to someone ?
I have searched high and low for an 'ADD Airport' link, but could not find one.

Cheers now

Rob

Here you go

http://flynet.en-studios.de/add_airport.php

I also find this handy to double check/convert FS9 decimal co-ords to Mins/secs

Ah, thats magic !
Thank for that John.
I'm an old time seafarer so I should be ok with the degrees, minutes and seconds - No perhaps not, . . . . I will use that link to double check !
BTW I use this http://worldaerodata.com/ to check the co-ordinates of my final Input as FS9 can be economical with the info sometimes

Cheers now.
