MZFW not MZFW?

Post by CAPFlyer » Sun May 28, 2006 2:03 pm

Hey Konny, something's wrong.

I just booked a flight in the VC9 (Vickers Vanguard) and it gave me a ZFW of 63.9 Tonnes. Per the website, MZFW is 55,560kg, so FlyNET overloaded the plane by 8340kg, not an insignificant number.

Can you check and make sure that the system is working right because it doesn't seem to be really limiting the weight all that much and it's a crap-shoot almost if you're gonna get overloaded or not. It's great for revenues, but sucks if you actually want to fly the plane with the weights assigned. :)

Guess that's because I haven't yet included the MZFW in any calculations ;-)

Ahh... Okay. I thought when you added that field you'd setup so that the Empty Weight+Pax+Payload wouldn't be in excess of the MZFW.
