Within our company it is difficult to understand the "Promotion required option".

When creating ranks with the Automatic Promotion Rules option, what exactly happens when you click on "Promotion required"?
Should we do it for planes in "training" or for planes that have been checked "yes" ?

Previously it seems to me that I had checked this option and that the passage from one level to another was automatic. I unchecked to see and it no longer seems to be the case. I can't find in the wiki explanations about automatic roles and on the forum I didn't correctly understand the conversations on this topic.

Could we see more explanation on this subject please

Promotion required is for the type ratings provided with the rank. It means that for the hours needed to advance to the next rank it must be from one of the aircraft types marked 'promotion required'.
