FSA works with Prepar3d V4.0

Post by joefremont » Thu Jun 01, 2017 6:23 am

Hi Flyers,

Though you would like to know that the current beta client V2.2.0.B8 works with Prepar3d V4.0.

It uses the SimConnect interface only, FSUIPC does not work. If your current client is set to use FSUIPC only you may need to switch to use simconnect in the settings and restart the client. The beta does not report the flight simulator properly, reporting it as 'unknown' only because it was not coded to recognise '4' as a valid P3D version number.

The next client version (release candidate 1) will have that update.

No idea when we will get FSW though, I contacted DTG last week and just got a response back.
Hi Joe,

Thanks for your email. Currently the SDK for FSW is in development and we have much more work to do before we can begin distributing it to developers. Please get back to us again in a couple of months' time when we have completed more of the fundamental core work on FSW and have had time to look at supporting software like yours.

Best regards,

Simon

Any update regarding FSW? The SDK has been out for at least a few months now.

Since Pete Dowson has announced he currently no plans to support FSW, it means significant work to get our client talking to FSW. Given the lack of airliners available for FSW there is no hurry to get it going. But we will someday.
