Major Database Update

Post by CAPFlyer » Sat Apr 22, 2006 4:05 pm

Ladies (if there are any on here) and Gentlemen,

I have just completed a major update of the Database. Konny's fix to the previous issue and another recurring request has been to add a new field to the database. This field sets whether or not an aircraft is still in production. If it is not, you will NOT be able to purchase the aircraft from the manufacturer. Instead, you will have to buy it off the market "used".

All aircraft currently in the database have been updated to whether or not they are still produced. This reduces the number of planes you can purchase direct from the manufacturer dramatically, but it allows for a more realistic supply of aircraft to the market and better controls over who has what aircraft.

The ground rules for when and how many aircraft we add to the market is still under discussion, but this should be resolved within a few days.

I show 5 on the market right now. We'll be implimenting the new system to add aircraft to the market in a few days at most, so don't worry, there will be 737-400s available. Just don't hog them all. :)

not on the manufacters list, there may be some on the market every so often so keep looking. Hopefully this will imply more realism.
Thanks

Yep, the 757 production line was closed down last year. So you can't buy them new anymore.

If someone added in the 767-200 or 767-300, they wouldn't be available either. Only the 767-200ER, 767-300ER, and 767-400ER are still available.
