For a long time we have had a problem pricing older aircraft. We normally try to use the current market price but for very old aircraft that are still in use, the market prices are usually for worn out aircraft that have very little time on there airframe. Not for a fully restored, low hour aircraft with many years of life still in them.
To rectify this we have implemented a minimum price for all aircraft based on the engine type and empty weight of the airframe. 150v$ per kg for piston engined aircraft, 225v$ per kg for turbo prop aircraft and 300v$ per kg for jet powered aircraft. If the market price of the aircraft is above the minimum we will use the market price, else the minimum price is used.
Now I expect comments about how this is unfair because it makes older aircraft uncompetitive, my responce to that is that since we implemented the ticket factor which boosts the revenue of older aircraft, we have already corrected for that.
Aircraft Minimum Prices.

Re: Aircraft Minimum Prices.
Hi joefremont !
I want to thank you for this change, the only thing I want to note that this is not very noticeable until the system has a multiplier of profit
I noticed a strange calculation for two identical Boeing 737-300 with Status 100% :
Boeing 1

Re: Aircraft Minimum Prices.
Hi,
Boeing 1 is not zero hours as it has made one flight and the status has been rounded to nearest decimal point so still shows 100% although it is slightly less. Boeing 2 is zero hors and is exacty 100%.
Regards
John
