Database Administrators needed

Post by Konny » Sat Mar 04, 2006 6:03 pm

Hi,

I got several messages from people willing to help me during the last weeks. Now, there is another chance to get involved into FlyNET. Everyone who is familiar with the different weight, length and volume units and thinks he is capable of administrating our aircraft and airport database can apply for the job here.
You don't need to have any webprogramming skills, you only should have enough time and knowledge to check the new aircraft/airport requests, edit the wrong/missing values, etc.

I thought about having 2 or 3 people doing this. If you want the job, please tell me now.

I'll help, no problemo! (I own all the Jane's books (yearlys) from 1982 to present) I'm fairly confident I can take the workload off you for new plane additions.

I can help if you want.

Also, the Boeing 737-800 has more seats than 160. Ryaniar operate it with 189 and excel have 175 on thiers i believe

same with the 737 easyjet operate that with 149 seats not 126

I'll volunteer as well. For those that I don't have at hand, I have at the city library. :)

Planes are a fun part of my life and I wouldn't mind sifting through the info and ensuring that everything's running smothly and at least semi-accurately. :)

But those are High Density settings right? We just use the two class rule for that airplane size.

Ok, I'll add Chris to the DB Admin Team. He has proven in the past that he has a good knowledge of aircrafts and airports.

So that's it for the moment. I'll let you know if I have some new jobs for you.

I worked at heathrow airport for 17 years, And the excel with 175 seats is not a high class setting they are not a low cost carrier, there a european legacy carrier.
