Leasing Deposit?

Post by Cat » Mon Mar 29, 2021 12:20 am

How does the aircraft leasing deposit system work? Who decides if the customer gets their deposit back or not? Why is a deposit even necessary if the first week payment is up front?

You have a point. The original idea was to ensure the airline leasing has enough funds to cover the cost of any repairs or transfers. But the repairs and transfer are always done weather the leasing airline has it or not. So it could probably be removed.

So FSAirlines pays for the repairs and transfer of an aircraft if the leasing company does not have the funds?

Also, Joe, is it possible to have a comments section on the leasing page so that we could leave a text comment related to the lease?

No the leasing airline still does, there cash balance is just allowed to go negative.

I am not certain how putting a comment there would be useful
