Routing and Scheduling

Post by HyperionAirways » Sun Nov 27, 2005 10:48 pm

Hey, out of curiosity, how do you guys route and schedule your flights? Do you just do it the "old fashioned" way of sitting down and plotting it out, or do you know of an easier way?

I use this freeware script for route-planning: http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/
Then I get the weather info, calculate the fuel ( charts if available, keroplan or estimation ;-) ) type all the data into the FMC and that's it :-)

Well seeing as how I'm in flight school and can always use the practice I do it all by hand. I do of course check some of my routes to make sure that they are the preffered routing in my area.... Less hassle for ATC that way.

Thanks guys! I was looking more for a way of scheduling the flights themselves, not so much the routing that the flight takes...the routing for each aircraft.

My quest for realism is quite tiresome! LOL BTW, Konny, that's an AWESOME site!

I always used the flight planner included in Flight simulator, but now after konny's great link, i think i'll use that site!

www.simroutes.com is good, I use FSBuild, a payware route building that uses preferred routes and up to date NATS and Pacific tracks.
