Question about plane crash

Post by magoo043 » Sat Dec 08, 2012 10:44 am

Hi all, no i dont crash a plane, but i have a question about aircraft crash penalty, in the wiki they only say that a penalty but not more, i want know at what fpm the client consider that a crash, because sometime i see some flight from other pilot in fsairlines, and i see something like touchdown v/s = -2439fpm for me that seem a little bit excessive, landing at this velocity, im pretty sure the aircraft if they are not broken, they will need a major inspection, and im sure all tire will blow.

The Client doesn't have it's own crash detection, it uses the crash detection from the Flight Simulator. If the Flight Simulator detects a crash, the Client gets notified and ends the flight.

I think that as long as the pilot is ranked at student, then the crash has no effect on the aircraft or airline as they will only be able to fly training flights, but at pilot or above it will become very expensive to repair the crashed aircraft

Actually, the crash only doesn't affect the airline if the flight was declared as training flight. And if the Client doesn't recognize a crash but the touchdown v/s is at -2xxx fpm the aircraft will take heavy damage, increasing the maintenance costs.
