Re: Soft landings
Well, the client has some trouble sometimes detecting your touchdown v/s. I've had times where the client registered 0 and it was really about -80. Other times its the opposite, the client will register -300 and it was really about -212. I check the values against a gauge I have implemented into my CRJ and DH8D panel and sometimes the client is right, other times its just off.

Re: Soft landings
My last 2 flights... 1st one I thought I totally greased it... was still -164 or so... next flight I winced when I hit the ground, it was a bad one... and it turned out to be like -7... LOLOLOL
Re: Soft landings
I have the same like the men above me said. When I land very soft I got a high low number, and when I was landing in bad weather, it was -1!

Re: Soft landings
The client is supposed to display either the last touchdown speed or the average, I can't remember, but basically if you bounce the landing, it may not show an "accurate" speed because you recorded only the first touchdown while the client reads them all.

Re: Soft landings
The v2.0.0 Client just uses the last v/s value before the touchdown. Usually this should be about 50ms before the touchdown, but due to some performance issues sometimes the last value is taken up to 5s before the touchdown and then it becomes very inaccurate. I tried to improve that in the current beta release but the tests have shown that it still needs further tweaking.
