How to codeshare?

I tried to figure out how codesharing works. Can someone explain me in detail? How it works and how it's done i mean.

If you wish to send a codeshare out to one of your partner airlines, go to the partnership page and click next to the codeshare routes section of the airline you wish to codeshare with. Here, click "Offer a New Code Share". From there, select the route you wish to codeshare and send it. Repeat for each route you wish to send. Your partner can do the same thing.

The bonus of a codeshare is a +10% PAX increase allowing you to increase ticket price but not sacrifice passengers.
