CRJ - Can I use a 900 series in FlyNET, but 700 in FSX?

Post by Myrm » Tue Jan 08, 2008 5:45 pm

Hi

As the title suggests, I use a FSX B737-800 & CRJ-700 for flying my flights (as they stand at the moment), and I am currently leasing a B737-700 and a CRJ-700 for my VA. I am now ready to purchase my own first aircraft, and was looking at a CRJ-700. These are 33 million to buy brand new from the manufacturer, but I note there are none available in the traders list. However, there are plenty of CRJ-900 series at about 4 million less than a brand new 700. Am I able to fly the CRJ-900 in FlyNET using the CRJ-700 plane in FSX? Or will I get penalised? I realise that it would be wrong to, say, buy an Airbus A380 in FlyNET and then fly it using a defaullt A321, or B747-400, but will the CRJ-900 be acceptable using a CRJ-700 in FSX?

Many thanks.
Myrm

You need to be very careful with that. Using a different aircraft model that what you are listed to fly could produce very different payload and fuel usages that could be detected as a cheat flight. If you go to Avsim.com or Flightsim.com you should be able to find aircraft models for whichever aircraft you wish to fly.
