uses for 2nd computer

So i've just been given a older computer.. running Macintosh OS8.5. I'm trying to find anything that might help me during my flights, keeping in mind that the computer is not on a network. So far the only thing I have planned for it is the flight charts

In Air Entertainment (Play a DVD) It's what I do on my laptop when Im flying a Transatlantic Hop

I'd definately go for that idea of flight entertainment... how boring is a transatlantic flight when you can't do anything else but stare at a screen?
