Help Please

Post by chelseamad » Sat Mar 03, 2007 6:07 pm

Hi I am new and trying to fly my first flight.
I have my flight booked with me and my aircraft sitting at Gatwick. I have downloaded Client and clicked 'Fly booked flight' and a message comes up Aircraft Not at Depature Airport. Well we both are here waiting to go. I am using FSX. Any ideas!!!

Make sure you are in cockpit with the game unpaused. If you haven't selected 'fly now' fsuipc won't see you at the airport.

Many thanks for your advise.
I am sitting at the gate when I am launching client. As soon as I do that Flight Sim automatically pauses. Could that be the problem and if so how do I get round it?
Regards
Steve

Go to the optons and untick 'Pause upon task change' or something like that
Thanks

Cheers Geoff for the tip. It has cured the pause problem but it is still saying aircraft not at departure airport.

Close FS, re-open it. Set the flight up, sit on the ground. Then open the client.

Works for me normally. If it dosn't solve it then, Post it in the Bugs forum
Thanks
Geoff

I'm fairly new to this too, and flying using FS2000!
Four stupid questions for you (not tryng to insult your intelligence).

1. Do you have a licence to fly the type you have booked your flight with?
2. On opening the client, when you click on show booked flight, does it show what you think is your flight?
3. On your airline fleet list, does the aircraft you have booked show with a red symbol beside it, and at Gatwick?
4. Are you sure that flynet has you at Gatwick (shows on your airline overview page)

Sorry, but I had to ask.

Thanks guys for all your help. I have decided to go back and use FS2004 and all works well, just completed my first flight all ok.
I will play around with FSX and see if I can get it sorted when I have some more time.

Happy flying.

Steve
