Percentage of aircraft cost to aircraft revenue
Surely this has got to be one of the best aircraft cost to revenue ratio, Convair 580 for 675,000, brings in 955,000 on its first flight from Gatwick to Cardiff. Anyone else got some tales of good ratios?

I did a comparison of some of the aircraft in my airline, in terms of average revenue per hour, factoring out the multiplier and crew costs:
Lockheed L-1011: 14748
Boeing 727-200 Adv: 8228
Douglas DC-4: 2624
Douglas DC-3: 1841
But if you then divide that by the aircraft price (in millions) you get:
Douglas DC-3: 6138
Douglas DC-4: 5248
Boeing 727-200 Adv: 2056
Lockheed L-1011: 124
So those old propliners are a great value.
