anyone got a handle on how the cargo works ?
pax prices are pretty obvious with a ticket price
cargo prices however seems to vary a lot
makes it difficult to plan routes and plan income against fuel costs
i have a cargo fleet waiting to be deployed and have tried a few tenative short journeys with a Herc to see how it goes.
thier does seem to be some ratio in price to distance flown, basically the further you fly the less you get per 100miles
also pure cargo aircraft seem to get a higher percentage load of cargo compared to pax planes which seem to take half the pax airline rating percent
any one else got any observations on this ?
cold hard facts would be better but i'll take any advice
regards
tomb

Cargo is a bit of a mystery to me, the more cargo you carry and the farther you carry it the price/kg/mile goes down but Konny did not want to reveal the actual formula.
