Reputation question

Post by Ionathan » Tue Dec 27, 2005 11:46 am

I have a question regarding the way the reputation parameter works. At first I had assumed it would go up until 100%. Eventually I noticed it goes beyond but not more than 120%. Any clarification of the logic behind?

In the passenger number calculation, the reputation is part of a math. product. If 100% was the upper limit, it wouldn't be possible to get passengers buying a more expensive ticket because of the reputation. Ok, I could stretch the value inside the calculation ( from 100% to 120%), but I don't like that.
I chose 120% ( 1,2 ) because I think this a reasonable limit.

Hm maybe it helps if you see the complete passenger calculation formula:

PAX = Random Factor [ 0,9 - 1,1 ] * Ticket Factor [ 0 - 2 ] * Reputation Factor [ 0 - 1,2 ] * Passenger Capacity

Yes, it is clear now and I believe it is fair too. I just wanted to understand.
