impact of aircraft in poor condition ?

Hello

In our company we ask ourselves questions.
Does the tracker generate any crashes in the simulator (MSFS2020) when the plane is in bad condition, for example at 89% or less ?

If so, what are the possible failures? And if not, what is it for ?
Sorry, I searched the forum and couldn't find a specific answer on this topic.

thanks in advance

You will get random failures far more often.

Engine failure, flap failure and gear failure.

All outlined here: https://wiki.fsairlines.net/index.php/Failures

Sorry this was in the Virtual Airlines section airlines use to talk amongst themselves rather than the main area.

The client does not determine if a crash has happened, it only reads it from the sim if it has detected a crash. We have talked about making an update so that if the Vertical Speed at landing is more than 2000 fpm then record that as a crash but no decision has been made on that.

Adam correctly pointed the types of failures on the Wiki page, if the repair ratio is above 98% then your safe, but below that there is a chance of a failure, which goes up as status goes down, its not a linear formula so at at 90% there is only a 1% chance of failure but at 0% the chance is 100%.

When a plane has a failure, how is that translated to the sim? For instance i had a flap failure. Am i just supposed to not use my flaps as a user? They seemed to work fine in the sim. Does it connect in anyway to what is actually happening int he sim? Does it record if I use my flaps anyway even though they "failed"?

The client keeps track of the aircraft repair status and then calculates if a failure should happen. When it does it triggers the failure in the sim, if you manually restore it in the sim it will trigger it again. You will see something like "Engine Failure" or "Gear Failure" in the rating reasons for the flight.

Is it not working like that for you?

Moving the topic as its more an FSA question than an airline question.

This post is interesting.

I ask more specifically. If the FSairlines triggers a flap failure during my flight with 737 PMDG, is FSairlines acars able to trigger the corrispondent PMDG failure in the sim?

We don’t do anything PDMG specific, we just use the failure system in the sim

i have had a flap failure and had no problems using my flaps in the sim. For realism i didn't keep using them, and put it back. But, the sim did not prevent their use. MSFS

I guess you'll have to pretend they failed or partially failed then

its very likely PMDG is not using the normal sim failure system and doing it on there own. I do admit I am not a PMDG fan, spending more for an aircraft than I did for the sim originally is a mental block I can't get past.
