I have no problems with the sounds, and have in fact added some to my blackbox .XML file.
Just out of interest, did you delete the old client before installing the new one? If not, that may be the source of your problem.

What sounds are you having an issue hearing?
There are sounds that result from clicking certain buttons in the client.
Also there is a sound that results from you applying the parking brakes at the end of your flight.
