B773 or B77W

B773 or B77W

Just wondering why i can do a flight there and back in the same aircraft and on one pirep it is a B773 and on the other it is a B77W. :?:

I Think the 777-300ER got renamed 77W at some point to distinguish it from the 777-300

That would be correct. The ICAO code for the 777-300ER was changed to B77W (while the 777-200LR was changed to B77L) a few years ago. We updated the ICAO code and then whenever an airplane is flown, the record will update for it.
