FSUIPC4 isnt showing up in add-ons

Post by capt_beck » Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:31 am

My FSUIPC4 wont work as when i am at the correct airport with the right plane it says everything is fine but wrong airport. Then i tried unistalling FSX and installing FSUIPC4 again and it still does that and it doesnt show up in FSX add-ons on the menu.

How can i get this to work again.

if its for the FSA client just use the simconnect.

what airport is it? sometimes they have another airport really close, and the client is recognizing the other instead of the right one. try going to the oposite side of the airport if there is another airport there.

Hi,

You'll need the SP1 and SP2 patches to be added for FSX for simconnect to work - Acceleration add-on includes patches if you have that. For an unpatched FSX drop the fsuipc.dll into the modules folder and it should then show in your list.

the airport is CYTZ and i tried that and the same thing happens and in the install log it says Simconnect.xml file not found, could this be the problem

As explained above by John, SimConnect is available under the Acceleration pack or SP2. The FSUIPC.dll file should be in the zip file you executed when you installed FSUIPC, it is also in your FSUIPC folder.
