Just another note: this isnt a VA run by kids, this is a very professional VA (dont get us wrong we love to have fun, though).

We'll be around long after the guys running one man shows get bored and go onto other things like their playstations, there teenage lives, etc... you can count on us still being here and still going strong!

We are willing to open up hubs in YOUR area, so long as it makes some sense realism-wise. We have an extensive fleet, as noted above.. you'll never be wondering where a plane is to fly! We have mini-hubs in a few places already for our members.

So what are you waiting for? Come join BC NORTH today!

Absolutely. If your versed in flying real world procedures... or willing to learn them, no ATC over here in north america will give you a hard time... there not "demanding " at all... matter of fact it's a lot of fun. What fun would flying offline ... alone.. at 16x or even at 1x, be? None to me.

It's pretty good.

go to http://www.vatsim.net/ and then on the left navigation bar, you'll see a link called pilot resources which opens a few options... go to the pilot resource center. It's got everything you need to get started on vatsim. Especially important are all the links on the left hand side (tutorials) ... very helpfull!

I'd suggest taking the ATP training within flight sim (the flying lessons) so that you are familiar with some charts / procedures / instrument flying etc.

A great place to get charts is www.airnav.com (USA only)

Good virtual pilot traning can be found at : http://stevesflightschool.com/index.php (get a login and take the lessons they offer / tests)

also if your running FSX and looking for the detailed training flights, they are there. they are no longer in the mission area but instead can be found under the area which has all of the info on the game in the game. i cant think of what its called.i think its called "learning more".

@ VATSIM and/or IVAO you face a real person instead of idiot AI ATC of MSFS. As the ATCO is a human being (s)he has a personality, good or bad moments and so on. Some might yell at you because they think this is real world while some others wouldn't mind helping a newbie.
Apart from the links provided, I think VATSIM regions/divisions provide you with some training documents as well as some online training session.

I prefer flying offline (even though I was a member of IVAO and still am a member of VATSIM) because in offline I have better traffic density, and I am a bad tempered guy so if an ATCO wannabe yells at me I would do worse to him/her. Better staying off trouble ;)

LOL vaccaro!

We just had a fun groupflight with our VA... 4 guys online all flew cyvr to cyyc. It's fun to line up and take off with your friends rather than computer generated aircraft tho. Just my opinion! :D

This picture right here is an example of why I fly. I personally created a model set for my VA (available to new members), so we see eachother in company colors, online.. weather was at minimums in CYYC... was a great flight with even better company! Cheers!
