impact of aircraft in poor condition ?

Post by alanchalevrai » Wed Apr 20, 2022 7:46 am

Hello

In our company we ask ourselves questions.
Does the tracker generate any crashes in the simulator (MSFS2020) when the plane is in bad condition, for example at 89% or less ?

If so, what are the possible failures? And if not, what is it for ?
Sorry, I searched the forum and couldn't find a specific answer on this topic.

thanks in advance

You will get random failures far more often.

Engine failure, flap failure and gear failure.

All outlined here: https://wiki.fsairlines.net/index.php/Failures

Sorry this was in the Virtual Airlines section airlines use to talk amongst themselves rather than the main area.

The client does not determine if a crash has happened, it only reads it from the sim if it has detected a crash. We have talked about making an update so that if the Vertical Speed at landing is more than 2000 fpm then record that as a crash but no decision has been made on that.

Adam correctly pointed the types of failures on the Wiki page, if the repair ratio is above 98% then your safe, but below that there is a chance of a failure, which goes up as status goes down, its not a linear formula so at at 90% there is only a 1% chance of failure but at 0% the chance is 100%.
