Re: some thought about more realistic
In looking at our fleet of 91 aircraft, right now today 28 of them would be in the "over 60 days not flown" penalty of .2% status hit. Will there be some sort of notification via FSA message when aircraft are assessed the over 60 days not flown status penalty? That sure would be helpful. Will the st...

Re: some thought about more realistic
If an aircraft is not flown within 60 days its repair status is reduced by 0.2% All aircraft must receive a maintenance check every two years to fly although officially 'passed due' at one year. All aircraft up for sale must have received an maintenance check within the last year. Airlines would be...

Re: some thought about more realistic
The cost of performing A services on all aircraft every year is prohibitive. For our purposes Cat, let's go with every other year, make it bi-annual. We can put this policy in place for our operation and not need an FSA directive.

Re: some thought about more realistic
I like the idea of a two tiered system - optional for those who want it but not mandatory for those who don't. I am probably one of the few VA owners in FSA to be blessed with having both real world pilots and those who love to crunch numbers. It really should be up to each operator/owner to set the...

Re: some thought about more realistic
Regarding "crash insurance": Would it be optional? Would VA owners be charged a set fee or based on the current aircraft value? Would the rates increase when the insurance company has to pay out a claim? This also opens up another can of worms regarding insurance: will the insurance carrier 'write o...

Re: New Features: August 2018 (Routes)
Hey Sam - That's not what I get when I go to book flight
I have:
check box - type - Registration - status -Operator - then fuel in kg
under the Operator column it posts the aircraft name if any / fleet it is in

Landing Rate Detection in FSA
I am just curious how FSA determines landing rates. Several of our pilots use add on landing rate meters (LRM, kACARS, etc) and have expressed concern the rates they get off external meters do not match FSA. I have a theory - only a theory mind you - that somehow FSA is taking the not the initial to...

Re: Landing lights with CRJ700/900 Aerosoft
Have you tried the FSA hotkey workaround? Control/Shift/L Tells the Client to override any FSX landing light settings and turns lights on/off in the client only.

Re: Penalty Updates
Well I cannot adjust the max payload currently as when I set up a configuration for less passengers, it just max's out the cargo. If I take full passengers, it maxes out the cargo and then when fueling I can reduce either pax or cargo but only to get below max takeoff weight.

Re: Penalty Updates
OK, after doing some research here is the problem with max landing weight penalties...... FSA will load a top tier airline (rating 120) airplane full to the point it can exceed the max landing weight but not the gross takeoff weight.... so even if the pilot lands with fumes in the tanks, the exceede...

Re: Penalty Updates
What's with the "exceeded max landing weight"? Got one for Albeo Cessna 207 landing with 1 pax, 929 lbs of cargo and 108 lbs of fuel. no deduction but notation on flight report.

Re: Flight controls
Yes I am finding things out with experience too, what needs to be handy and what can be done on the screen once per flight with the mouse. I found it is much easier to have an "over under" monitor set up and just plug in the aircraft 2D panel to the lower monitor than trying to use external hardware...
