Re: "My aircraft is late from maintenance/transfer"

Hi

I have the same problem. A Boeing 737-800 (G-UBKK) was returned from a lease and is stuck in transfer. It was due to become available on May 26th but is still showing as "grounded".

Regards
Simon

Re: Refuelling not working properly

I have had the same problem as Dean (we are both UKDirect pilots). Tonight I had a flight booked in a B777-300ER G-UKIH from Toronto to Heathrow, which should have had 17,521kg on board, but the client showed only 1460kg. The previous flight to this in this aircraft (done last Sunday) seemed OK fuel...

Cargo Flights

Hi everybody Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find it on the forums, so here goes.... Can someone please detail how the income works for cargo-only flights? The following is what I can fathom from analysing a few of our cargo flights: 1) The ticket price has no effect on cargo (as tic...

Re: Pilot Inactivity Period?

Thanks Joe. I was worried that some of our "keen but busy" pilots might get "ditched" simply by not putting any flying hours in for a few months.

Pilot Inactivity Period?

Hello Real-life and all that: for one reason and another a few of our pilots are flying very irregularly; can I ask what (if any) inactivity-checking is done on pilots' accounts? I imagine that it would take one of two forms: either they don't login for X days or they don't file a flight for X days;...

Cannot Remove Sold Aircraft Type From Flights

Hi Not a biggy, just an airline admin problem: We at UKDirect had a Saab-2000 and have a number of routes that are setup to be flown with that type. We have today sold our one and only Saab-2000 and wish to remove it from the set of "aircraft types" for the relevant flights. However, when I select t...

LIPE Bologna: In Airport Lists Twice

Just a quick note: Bologna airport is in the airport list for Italy twice, with two different fuel rates. Not sure if this would cause a problem (e.g. when booking flights) but certainly the ambiguous fuel rate might cause confusion! Bologna Bologna LIPE 1.68v$ Bologna Bologna LIPE 1.55v$ Regards Si...

Status on secondhand aircraft EZ-IEO

UKDirect bought a 747-400ER (EZ-IEO) this morning (valued at $139m, on sale for $100m) with a status on the list as 99.9%. On looking at our fleet list its status had dropped to 70.7% (and the maintenance would be a C-check $107m). As a check, I put it back on the market and, sure enough, on the tra...

Buy ticket to private-flight airport?

Hi I have filed a flightplan in my newly-purchased PA28A private aircraft; the flight is a nice short hop from EGHH to EGHI. In FlyNet I am currently at Heathrow. In order to fly the planned route, do I need to buy a ticket to EGHH or can I fly the EGHH-EGHI route while still "officially" [as far as...

Extra zero

Fair enough - but somehow the aircraft's value (rather than the sale price) got the extra zero, which as far as I'm aware is not something the owner would have had any control over?

I don't want to start a war over it, just wanted to draw it to the attention of "whomsoever it may concern".

An extra zero ...?

There is an ATR-72 (F-ACVY, no owner) on the market at the moment that is valued at 155,000,000$ (ten times the "normal" value for that type) and is on the market for 139,500,000$.

Just thought someone might like to know (FlyNet admin for instance) cos I doubt anyone's gonna buy it at that price :D

Incorrect code - again

Hi Flew back from Mumbai to Manchester last night and STUPIDLY  forgot to reconnect to the internet [I left it on pause overnight so disconnected from t'internet last night] prior to setting the parking brakes, so you guessed it, once again was given a code (c62 this time) and I attempted to u...

Aircraft Types

Yes, it would be nice, especially in the cases where there are a lot of types to assign. Not essential, a "nice-to-have". While on the subject of aircraft types, could I ask why the A321-100 and A321-200 both have the type-code "A321"? We at UKDirect have a couple of codeshares for "A321" with "Trav...

Restarting client after every flight

Whoops, didn't do this today and have paid for it! Flew EGPH-LEIB first thing this morning, then immediately flew the return leg without restarting FS or FlyNet client. Landed at EGPH, got the reassuring "bing-bong", but the flight has not registered (the flight is still in "booked" status). Doh! Oh...

Ability to limit ZFW for long-hauls

It would be great if we could optionally put a limit on the ZFW for a flight. Yesterday I flew a Calgary to Heathrow flight in a 767-300ER (perfectly reasonable within the range of the aircraft) but the ZFW I was allocated meant that my maximum fuel allowance was 55.5T. This was very close to the re...
