Re: Maintenance centres and pricing
Okay, to weigh in - 1) I like the general outline. 2) I don't think airlines should get a "discount" for their home maintenance center. Real airlines don't get their first maintenance center "cheap" unless they buy an empty hangar. :) 3) Levels of maintenance take different amounts of time based on ...

Re: Manufacturer Hubs and other ideas
Yeah, registration fees in most countries are fairly trivial. I wouldn't over complicate things by adding them in, just consider them "included" in the cost of operation. ;) As for pilot pay, I know I'd discussed it with Konrad many, many moons ago about allowing other options, but it was a "low pri...

Re: Aircraft Pax change
The system is already in place Matt, just open any individual aircraft in your fleet and you'll see the seat configuration system on the right. I would do a forum search and find the post by Joe announcing the feature or look on the front page at the news item on it. Everything's already been explai...

Re: Aircraft Pax change
According to both Boeing's Technical Specifications and the Type Certificate, the Emergency Exit limited capacity is 189. See - A16WE Page 9 (near the bottom). Also, note that the 737-900 is limited to 189 due to the lack of sufficient emergency exits capability. The 737-900ER both in the database a...

Re: Aircraft Pax change
Matt, this change was made some time ago and discussed concurent to the update of passenger classes. At that time the passenger capacities for all aircraft were updated to reflect their maximum certificated payload. Once Konrad puts out the new client and the class restrictions become active, your c...

Re: Manufacturer Hubs and other ideas
Yes and no. Boeing delivers airplanes wherever the customer wants them delivered. Often, it's not at Everett or Renton. Many times, its at the customers "home base" because of favorable a tax situation for the customer. Other times, it's a "third party" country for the same reason. Occasionally, it'...

Re: Fuel prices
Matt, while you can go and look at those websites, it's another altogether to then get that information into the system, especially since most of the smaller airports have no way to update their fuel prices. Thus, even if you could get fuel prices on a regular basis and upload them into the database...

Re: Fuel prices
Well, the only one I'd have a problem with is #4 because if you look at the EU and US, both have high per-person GDP's but similarly have high fuel taxation rates for aviation fuel (not to mention road fuels).

Re: ORSU airport in database but missing from FS9
One thing with FSNav - if you use addon scenery, just use the FSNav Database Compiler to rebuild the database and it'll add in all your addon scenery to it.

Re: ORSU airport in database but missing from FS9
You're not missing anything. ORSU's construction began in late 2003 and didn't open until 2005, so it wasn't in FS9, which used Jeppessen data from 2002. You'll need to find and download addon scenery to have it in FS9.

Re: Default FSX 208 Caravan
The client only looks at the ICAO code listed in the aircraft.cfg, number of engines, and the weights. As long as the ICAO matches and the weights are close on the weights, it'll allow it.

Re: Default FSX 208 Caravan
Yes, you can use the default FSX Caravan, however the capabilities won't line up as the empty weight of the Grand Caravan and the Cargomaster are different, thus the payload it can carry is different. I'm pretty sure there's a modification out there available for the Default Caravan to make it a Car...

Re: How to create cargo routes
If you're using a Boeing 747-400F, then nothing needs to be done on limiting passengers or cargo unless you want to limit the maximum cargo load as the airplane can't carry passengers.
The "87/99.781$" is ~87 Metric Tons of cargo, and 99.781v$ (or 99,781v$ depending on where you live) in revenue.

Re: Prepar3D
While you are correct they want "hard core" simmers, adding something like FSAirlines would indeed make it an "entertainment" platform and violate the EULA.
