Well, depends on the airplane, but 70% is usually a good number to go with for brake release. After that, continue advancing throttles to T/O power (96% N1 with most high-bypass turbofans, except the CF6 which is routinely over 100% and sometimes as high as 110%) and you're on your way! :) Also, rol...

The Tu-144 I have came with a manual, as did the PM2 Concorde. Both have the flight profiles and acceleration profiles. One thing to keep in mind with the Tu-144 is that it has a neat little acceleration gauge that shows how fast you can go for your height and the reccommended speed. Really makes it...

Justin,

If you look at the flight profile for the Tu-144 and Concorde, they do (and have to) adhere to the 250 knot rule during their initial departure. That's one of the advantages for delta-winged aircraft. They can fly at 250 knots as required but still attain mutlisonic speeds.

...times your fuel load in pounds by 1/2.2 to find out how much in Kg you need to put in. This reads kinda odd. What he's saying is - Take your amount in pounds, multiply it by 2.2 to get the weight in kilograms that you need. Or to make it a mathematical expression (since I've got 10 seconds to th...

Thanks Konny (and Martin). Konny, you're right. If the information that "MickeyMouse" was giving was correct, then it is too easy if he's able to make US$3Million profit on a single flight from Denver to Salt Lake City. Having done planning for that route (at a cost prediction of $5000/hr, which is ...

Cargo Module progress?

Hey Konny, don't want to seem like I'm being pushy or anything, but I was kinda wondering if you'd done anything on a cargo module now that the passenger module seems to be getting pretty close to completion and most of the changes are operational (i.e. they pertain to any operation, not just passen...

DO NOT USE FSEDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't say it any more strongly, but FSEdit is the worst piece of software released for FS ever. 90% of models you use it on will not work properly afterwards, especially if they're addon models. So, before you go editing fuel consumption, let's ask some basic ...

Convair 340 Data

Please modify the CV 340 cruise speed to 247 knots. I accidentally imputted the cruise speed in km/h.

Otherwise, everything on the Convairs is cool.

BTW, how do you add pictures to the aircraft entry?

2. What is the 1000X multiplier for when calculating profits? If it's to make the airlines grow faster, would it be possible to get this set on a time action... say after a month it kicks off? Well, you can see it on the flight reports. Without the mulitplier for example your airline with primarily...

Actually, a good DC-3 runs around $250K - $300K, the few that are left. $350K is getting a bit on the high side for the aircraft mainly because the airframes don't have enough life left on them to support that high of a price.

Yes, but there's something you're leaving out in that 8K purchase price - Airworthiness. If you buy it for 8K, it is most definitely NOT in airworthy condition and is most likely a corroded hulk of an airplane that would be uneconomical to repair. If you want to sell the plane for 8K, great. Just be...

Quite a bit actually. Actually, most airlines (passenger ones) will bump PEOPLE before they bump any freight they may be carrying. That's how much more money they make off the freight they carry. If you ever get a chance to see an international flight come in on heavy equipment, you'll be amazed at ...

Cargo Airline Operations

What about adding in cargo operations that measures cargo flown instead of passengers and cargo airplanes? Many of the airplanes you have on the list now have cargo versions in service, so it wouldn't take too much. The VA I'm starting up will be based (initially) around a fleet of Piper Navajo, Ces...
