Re: Beta Client 2.6

I just released Beta 6. Only change is disabling the water landing penalty. Turns out in the 5000+ flights we had since releasing B5, we had 8-10 landings where water landing was triggered but did not land in water. Since these are considered crashes its quite a severe penalty and in the logs of som...

Re: Schedules

Hi Stan, you brought up several issues, lets deal with each of them. thanks for sorting out my flight to FAOR.I still use fs2004 but i had added scenery for FAJS which is the same airport only with a different code. True that the main airport in Johannesburg has changed from FAJS to FAOR, we resiste...

Re: FSA down? (Client unable to connect)

Hi I need a help. someone resolved the problem, because I had the same problem and I put on the archive fsairliners.ini AltServer=1, so the client open and I put the username and password but not connect and stay in the username and password without connect. Try resetting your password to something...

Re: Forum Registration FYI

There was a time when if you did not log in for 90 days, we deleted your account. But then I spent a significant amount of time restoring the accounts of pilots who had there accounts deleted but wanted them back, so I changed it so that if they had flown at least 5 flights, instead of deleting at 9...

Re: Forum Registration FYI

Today I log in and see nine registrations waiting on the forum, they all look bogus. I created a tool so I could quickly see if anyone real is registering, this is what I see. https://www.fsairlines.net/private/screenshot_forum_reg.png I deleted the first part of the emails, in the unlikely case the...

Re: Happy Pilots

It took awhile to figure out where my "home base" field was. Edit Profile. :) I am apparantly unhappy cause I was based in Boise and flying out of Las Vegas. LOL I set the initial value based on the airport you had the most arrivals at. For those who had no flights it was there current location, fo...

Re: Schedules

And this leads to the next questions: will bot pilots always fly direct GPS or can you specify their route in the flight plan? What happens when they start running late? Good question. I had assumed the bots would essentially be flying direct and take the default time. We don't have a map of restri...

Re: Schedules

I can see the schedules being an easy thing to setup but the details can be a lot of work to get right. On the delay issue I was only thinking of one day, but if someone can get "full day+ layovers" think I think I will change the delay from 0-24 hours in 2 hour increments to 0-48 hours in 6 hour in...

Re: Schedules

HI Sam, thanks for looking at it. Some comments on your suggestions. Editing the base routes is something to look into. Your right that up till now those times on the routes ment very little and once they start getting put into schedules ppl are going to start noticing how things don't match up. Onc...

Re: Schedules

One update. I had been thinking about how to resume a schedule after something goes wrong, and I had been thinking of a complicate 'resume schedule' system but on refection I think I came up with a simpler system which is you can assign a schedule to a pilot at any airport along the route, not just ...

Delivery airport Edits

We have had a number of members recently try to change the delivery airport field on aircraft because they want them delivered to there home airport rather than the airport where the real world factory is located. One pilot who changed the delivery airport of the A321neo to EGNX. I am wondering why ...
