Re: A crash doesn't mean a crash
Down angle is not something i have though of considering before and may have some possibilities, although I am sure someone will find an example where it regularly lands with high nose down angle. Concorde lands with a very high nose UP attitude. I believe the DC9 sometimes landed nose wheel first,...

Anyone know what's happened at CBFS?
Classic British Flight Sim seems to have disappeared off the web, it gave a 500 error for a few days and now just says File not Found.
Anyone know any further details?
Joe?

Re: Client Autostart
There is no "problem" to fix.
It is a user issue which requires the user to address.

Re: Client Autostart
Of course you could easily write a batch file to launch FSA, FS and any other programs (weather engine, flight planner etc) all in one click.

Re: Client Autostart
Don't think it is necessary.
Part of all my checklists is
FSA RUNNING.
If you can't remember to start the client there is not too much hope for your flying!
If this is implemented then PLEASE make it an option, not automatic.

Client 2.5.1
Problem with 2.5.1
On loading fuel, the next page frequently misreads the ZFW from the sim, and/or gives a message along the lines of "unexpected fuel value, unable to refuel aircraft"
Cure for both is usually to go "Back" then hit fuel up again. Most times this solves the issue.

Re: Site Updates - Beta client 2.5
2.5.0 running fine for me. To anyone having an issue with the new release, I would delete your existing fsairlines.ini file in Documents\FSAirlines and then give it a try. [edit] not sure if this is relevant Joe, but i noticed that the release client is still pointing to beta.fsairlines.net Just ha...

Re: Client 2.4.2
The Low Altitude penalty could be an issue on the inter island flights in the Orkney Islands (North East of Scotland). These islands are home to the official worlds shortest flight, Westray to Papa Westray (adjacent islands). The "official" flight duration is 90 SECONDS, and if you get above 500' th...

Re: ZFW from a member
I think the problem is pilots like punching in the data in the FMCs and if its always the same numbers it gets dull for them. There is a very simple answer to that one, fly older aircraft that don't have an FMC, make your pilots actually THINK about how to fly rather than - rotate, gear up, LNAV VN...

Re: Client detects crashes
It is, of course, possible to take this too far.
If the VS at touchdown exceeds 10,000 FpM one could say the pilot is dead and remove them from the airline, just saying!

Re: FSX not responding
Always start FSX with the default "trike".
Once it has started and the RPM on the trike settled, then load another aircraft, or another flight.

"Front page" is back to normal, type ratings is still awry, maybe it will sort itself in a day or two.
