Re: Pilot Ratings & Awards

Re: Aircraft Status.

There was an intentional crash of a 727 in Mexico (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvbGiuKbmGM) a few years back where they wanted a "survivable yet catastrophic" hard landing. Go to the 47:00 min mark of that video. At -1500 fpm, the 727 hit the desert and ripped the gear off and the fuselage brok...

Re: Aircraft Status.

Hi Scott, fixed that AC and hope this engine status change I discussed should prevent it in the future. Now for landing rates, I have been thinking of recalibrating the damage based on hard landings. My idea is, if an AC hits the runway at 2000 fpm (which is very hard), its gear and hull status shou...

Aircraft Status.

Now that we have the failure system fixed in the client some issues have shown up I think may need to be fixed. First is the aircraft status. Right now the % you see is the sum of the status of the hull, gear and each of the engines. Let's say you have had a very hard landing. The hull and gear are ...

Re: Thoughts on Cargo

Actually I have not made any changes so far, so it does not depend on airport size, but that is on the list to do.

Re: Where did the 777F's go?

I do see one recent transaction where a 777F was sold and one more still on the market. But the system does periodically (daily) 'prune' the aircraft being sold by FSA Aviation to try to keep the market list manageable, and I do see that 14 AC were 'pruned' recently but I don't know what type they w...

Re: Seat Configuration

Some interesting ideas. I did do a search for aircraft seat specifications today but could not find much that was useful. I really wanted a nice comparison chart for an seat makers products that listed weight and footprint but could not. They only want to list the weights for there ultra light weigh...

Re: Immer erst ein Backup machen!

I wish we could be more 'professional'. I work as a software engineer for a small tech company in San Francisco with 12 engineers, plus a dedicated testing and operations staff. But for FSA, you just have me, and I am part time as there is no way FSA can generate enough cash for me to live on. Deplo...
