Re: Significant modifications of the Fsairlines System

I actually have been thinking a lot recently about how to use the actual in sim weight of the aircraft in the client by first idea was force the pilot to adjust the in sim payload to match what FSA thinks it should be, but the idea of adjusting the FSA payload to match what the sim has, has some mer...

Re: Significant modifications of the Fsairlines System

Erick, Thank you for your post and thank you for being FSA members for the last 11 years. You touched on so many points I thought it was worth making this its own topic. As with all changes here on FSA its a bit of a balancing act, you have those who want changes to make it more realistic and those ...

Re: Leases and aircraft status

I have been doing some work on this, my basic idea is that if someone rents an aircraft and does not use it for a month, they should not have to repair it. Also someone should not be able to lease an aircraft that already needs a B-Check or more. This will make it so that when an aircraft is rented,...

Re: Leases and aircraft status

You have great freedom in setting the prices for your aircraft leases, and maybe I should increase the default price a bit to compensate for extra costs, but you are of course free to set a higher price. We pretty much assumed that if a lease is cancelled, they have already paid for a period of time...

Leases and aircraft status

I have seen a few VA's that have leased aircraft that have a fairly low repair status with a requirement that they be repaired back to 100% at the end of the lease. Often these aircraft are leased by new VA's created with trial accounts who never fly the aircraft but hold them a few days and cancel ...

Re: Estadisticas

The reason is probably because your a one person airline. To show up in the 'airline' section you need three active pilots, who the system things are not the same person within 60 days. But you will show up in the pilot section of statistics.

Re: Thoughts on Cargo

The answer to your question is yes, the 'old system' will still be available, but will be tweaked a little. I have modified the price formula a bit so its tied closer to the passenger ticket price formula and am looking into a way to limit the amount of generic cargo between airports based on the po...

FSA Bankruptcy Court

When VA's can not pay their bills and end up in Bankruptcy and I get to play Bankruptcy judge. Most of the time I do my best to help them out of whatever situation they find themselves in but occasionally I discover that something fishy was going on and I need to take corrective action. Here is a ca...

Re: Training flights

Makes no fiscal sense to use a training flight to transfer airplanes when you can be making money instead. We often prefer to fly our planes to new base instead of transfer them so they can be profitable on the way there. Good point, that's the way I always transferred aircraft, when I had time tha...

Re: New Parking Fee's - Billing Nightmare?

Advanced finances "NO". Is that way to avoid parking fee still available? The reason you got charged is because you changed the 'advanced finance' setting in the middle of the month, and for this purpose I defined 'middle of the month' as after the first week, and I can see from the database that y...

Re: Leasing without charge

Actually there is code in place that will cancel the lease without payment if the VA does not use the aircraft. VA's were using the leasing system as a way to transfer money between airlines. Leasing and immediately cancelling, so if the aircraft is leased and cancelled within a short time, and is n...

Re: Training flights

It's a good idea, only that it occurs to me that maybe they make a school flight to an airport to move a pilot or plane to operate at another airport. Exactly, using a school flight as a free transfer. I suppose we could always just charge the VA for the actual fuel used in the training flight (at ...
