Re: some thought about more realistic

Has anyone tried the new code at beta.fsairlines.net? One thing I should note. On the fleet pages where you have that sortable table, if you sort by 'actions' you are actually sorting my last maintenance date, should help finding those aircraft that need service.

Re: Maintenance and Fee Changes

Very nice job Joe!!! Only one addition, it is possible to add the airport of Teruel (LETL) as storage airports or are they fixed?? It is possible to add Teruel, and at one point I did but pulled it out because its not an airport that comes stock with FSX. Right now the only thing different about th...

Maintenance and Fee Changes

We are making some changes to the maintenance system that will go into effect at the beginning of April. These changes include: To be sold or leased, an aircraft must have been maintained within the last year. To be flown an aircraft must have been maintained within the last two years. Aircraft that...

Re: UCFM-UCFL-UCFP-UCFO, not in database

Interesting, yes we do have that airport as UAFP. We extracted it from X-Plane-11's data and it uses that code (UAFP). Sorry I did not see it earlier as I did not find any reference to the UCFP code in our database. We do have ways to enter alternate codes (although I have not made it public) and wi...

Re: Maintenance Centers

Since this became more of a 'bugs' thread I moved it to the bugs and problems section and re-created a clean maintenance center thread for the 'how to' section.

Maintenance Centers

I just released the new Maintenance Center feature and I wanted to describe how it works. Maintenance centers allow you to repair your aircraft at a reduced rate, but a center can only work on a limited number of aircraft at a time. As always if there is no maintenance center available or you do not...

Re: some thought about more realistic

I have been doing some work on the can't fly or can't sell if not maintained within 2/1 years, I have actually deployed the code I have been working on to beta.fsairlines.net where you can all take a look at it. Please feel free to test it. I have not applied the maintenance requirements to private ...

Re: some thought about more realistic

I have at times though about adding runway length requirements for aircraft going into/out of airports, we already collect runways from the airports themselves (exported from the sim) but collecting all the aircraft data would be a big job, even if you could find a reliable source for it.

Re: some thought about more realistic

The plan is to do it once a month and should probably make an easy way to export a CSV file for all the transactions so you can more easily import the values. As you do not want too much workload hassle, I don't want too many transactions records bloating the size of my database. I turned on the cod...

Re: Time of day & Weather

To be honest, personally I rarely use real world time of day since often when I fly it's in the evening after work and I don't want to always fly at night. Beside once I am at cruise altitude and turn on the autopilot I usually turn up time compression and then will no longer be at real world time. ...

Re: UCFM-UCFL-UCFP-UCFO, not in database

I moved this to new features since airports not in the DB is not necessarily a bug. Of those you mentioned only one, UCFP is not in the database. UCFM and UCFL are in the database but use code UAFL and UAFM because that is what FSX/P3D uses and most pilots use those sims (don't bother arguing we hav...

Re: some thought about more realistic

Now that maintenance centers is deployed and seams to be finally working I have turned my attention to those parking fees. First step is creating a 'parking log' of all those aircraft movements so I can keep track of how much time an aircraft spends at each airport and have made progress on that. Ne...

Re: Google Maps

Actually they have, for some time, note that the map on the airport page the map does not give that same warning. So there is something else going on, some service I need to turn on or something. It would be a higher priority if it was stopping you from flying or anything like that. But I keep pokin...
