Count me in too, individual permissions would be much better than the blanket system we have now.

Re: Premium Accounts.
Depending on what types you like, Amazonas would be happy to adopt you In the heavy department we have 767s, MD11s, A330s, A340s and an A380. We could set you up with your own hub if you were interested too.shearder wrote:So perhaps some VA would like to adopt a "heavy" pilot??

Re: Unfairness in placing advertisements
It would be interesting to see a response on this, the cost of a sidebar ad is prohibitive to all but a few airlines. As most of our flights generate V$6-8m we have to fly a lot to place an ad, yet as Brian points out some airlines can earn the cost in a single flight. It does seem to penalise the m...

Re: Fly with us!
It's a interesting concept but... who, by a show of hands, would want to sit and do nothing during someone else's flight, and have to load up flightsim to do it, every time they wanted their pilot to move? I'm not one of those. I like the pilot moves the way they are now... being charged an airline...

Re: Premium Accounts.
The new arrangements are great, especially with the discounts, so I can happily announce that Amazonas International will be here next year. Thank you to the developers for their work, and thank you for listening to your members, if that attitude continues I'm sure FSAirlines will go from strength t...

Re: Premium Accounts.
We would look at staying IF the "Pay per VA" idea comes about, but I'm still not convinced about the support process. Those with long memories will remember what happened with various updates on Flynet, and we are looking at a whole raft of changes in one go. Have these changes been tested properly,...

Re: Premium Accounts.
We are not one of the big VAs, and it is rare that any of our pilots fly more than 4 times a week, but it does happen occasionally during the holiday periods. Like many of your VAs we are discussing the situation internally, and where we want to go from here. The problem, as others have pointed out ...

Re: New Penalty Idea
How would this affect operations into places like Quito and La Paz, where several approaches start at 17-18000' close to the airport? Could this be implemented with altitudes above AGL instead of MSL?

Re: taxi speed penalty bug
You obviously fly with better real world pilots than I do Chris
I have experienced this from the jump seat several times in the past, with DC9s and 707s. 200'-220' DH, pitch and power as recommended for the GA at that point, and the aircraft still touched the runway.

Re: taxi speed penalty bug
Sorry Graham, I have to disagree on this one. With a typical Cat II DH of 200' you can still touch the runway, even if you started the GA above that height. Older aircraft in particular are prone to this, due to spool up times and sometimes less than wonderful high lift devices. That's one reason wh...

Re: new aircrafts
actually the 748's info is all 100% currect. the 748 is also about to be moved to the flight line for flight testing... it should be in service by begining of 2010 The beginning of 2010? IF all goes well during the flight testing the first freighter is due to enter service 3rd quarter 2010, the fir...

Re: new aircrafts
What happened to the quest for more realism? We go from only being able to have aircraft in actual commercial service to being able to have aircraft that don't even exist  There are three models of the 787 now in the database, and it hasn't even flown yet, and two versions that are only likely...

Re: Routes
Edward, it's a nice idea, but we come up against the old "why are you on FSAirlines?" question. Not every airline is interested in realistic flight planning, or realistic operations for that matter. Some are looking to make as much money as possible, in the shortest time. Some airlines operate with ...

Re: Hard Landings
Bob My setup is with the full version of FSUIPC, if that information helps anyone. But, just to confuse the issue, I put in a lovely smooth touchdown yesterday (long runway, light A340-300, stabilised ILS approach, no crosswind component) and this shows as -581 fpm. That would have resulted in screa...
