Re: some thought about more realistic

I just had a brain wave. Hangers! Obviously aircraft sitting out on the tarmac will deteriorate quicker than aircraft sitting inside hangers. Would allowing VA's to build hangers at airports be of interest, aircraft parked in the hanger would not be subject to parking fees and deteriorate less than ...

Since nobody has replied to this I assume there is not much interest in this idea and I will abandon the idea.

Re: Question of Fleets

In this case the size difference between a 340 and a DHC8 is too great to use them interchangeably. If you get aircraft that are two different in size or performance your not going to get accurate results. If you want to fly the Saab, have your VA CEO buy a few.

Re: Grounded Pilot still flying

Thinking about this. If an airline grounds a pilot after he/she start on the flight, that flight still continues, the airline probably would not inform them until after the flight has landed, so it may be more realistic to let the flight be recorded. If the flight is canceled and they have not start...

Re: Grounded Pilot still flying

Looks like if the flight had already started when the flight was cancelled it still allowed it to be recorded, this was so that if for some reason the flight could not be uploaded and the 24 hour limit expired the flight could still be recorded. But since its now 72 hours I removed that feature and ...

Re: MacOS and X Plane 11

I contacted Konny who created it originally and he said he would try to look into it. No promises as since we started this project he has become very busy with work, wife and kids and no longer has time for the day to day work on the site.

Re: Helicopter scales

We have discussed adding 'remote locations', temporary 'airports' for stops like you describe, I will make sure it's in the todo list so it gets done, someday.

As for the penalty, push the flight needs review button on the report page and explain, we will clear the penalty.

Re: More tracking !!!

Hi! You have the "overspeed on taxi" penalty, also you can see at the flight details (I don't remember where is it for whatch it) if the flght has a delay or a big delay. It would be interesting, as you said, add some penalty for turns more than 30º or stalling the plane. For that penalties affect ...

Re: More tracking !!!

I did look into something like that but it’s not possible to know what instructions atc has given the pilot, we do save the AC position when the flight ends but we don’t do anything with that now.

Re: Aircraft Status.

Unfortunately using FSUIPC I don't have a way to get that information, (not sure about simconnect). I could go scanning around the pilots hard disk looking for the aircraft.cfg file but would still not be able to tell if any given point has gone over the limit. And if its X-Plane then all bets are o...

Re: Aircraft Status.

Maybe along the lines of some suggestions 400-599 fps Firm Landing rating -0, reputation -0 600-1199 fps Hard Land Landing, rating -5, reputation -0 1200-2399 fps Very hard landing, rating -15, reputation -5 (same as wrong airport/running out of fuel) 2400+ fps, Crash: Rating -50, reputation -20 (as...

Re: Aircraft Status.

Is a good idea, but I thing it will be more accurated if the landing are 3000 or 5000fpm. At this point i'm sure the plane would be no able to fly  Interesting idea, I had considered making some updates to the 'crash' system so that if an AC bumps into something at the airport at a slow speed ...

Re: XPlane Low Fuel Use

Option 2 is good for the pilot who is making a longer flight and started at MTOW, it won't help those pilots who are doing flights where they start below MLW but know there AC's fuel usage is way off but don't know how to fix it. Maybe we add a settings in the options that is something like "Dump av...

Re: XPlane Low Fuel Use

Hey Sam, Interesting idea. Its the, "I know my AC does not use enough fuel, FSA client please fix it for me" feature. I suppose it would not be too hard, we already can calculate an expected fuel usage, we show it in the flight report but its not a very sophisticated formula, it does uses a linear r...
