I like the idea much. Although I only have experience with FSInn multiplayer servers. But it definitely will add a lot "social factor" to the game when you can fly in the same sky as your opponents/partners.

I'd really appreciate to see this functionality in the system and it looks like I am not alone with it.

Since the new website design is online I am missing the "Manage type ratings" link on the overview page just below the pilots list.

I do not consider this to be a bug, but did the way change how new pilots can choose their starting location? In the old integration pack it were the airports where training flights were scheduled. You are absolutely right. I am aware that the system already has these mechanics - at least basically to that I described. Therefore it shoudnt be tricky to add the things from my thoughts. You also could consider charging higher fees for more flights per VA.
Example:

VA's monthly total flights 0-50: charge amount X
51-150 monthly flights: charge amount Y
.
.
.
and so on

The more traffic - the more charge for the VA (not the pilots)
