Re: some thought about more realistic

We used a couple sources to get the airport size. The Openairports has an airport database you can download we used which has an airport size in it. we also used published lists of world's busiest airports to determine between super/international and intercontinental airports. But its not exact scie...

Re: some thought about more realistic

I tried to keep it as simple as possible, and of course to keep the number of transactions down its only calculated at the end of the month. Its based on 1000 kg of MLW per day. Super Airports 8 v$ International 4 v$ Intercontinental 3 v$ Regional 2 v$ Municipal/private/military 1 v$ Storage 0.25 v$...

Re: Maintenance Centers

I just made a small tweak to the colors for the aircraft, its blue when its twelve months since maintenance, its a darker blue when its 21 months past maintenance, to give you more of a clue that it might be time to start moving aircraft to a maintenance center before they get stranded.

Re: Maintenance Centers

I'm not sure if this has already been talked about, but when an aircraft from another VA uses our maintenance center the cost for that VA should be income for our VA? If so, I do not understand why FSA makes me a charge and then a subscription to the other VA, so the result is 0. http://i66.tinypic...

Maintenance center comments.

A pilot asked some questions about the maintenance centers and they were more suggestions rather than bugs, so I am going to paste the question and answer it here since this is the place to discuss feature changes. Hi there. First of all great work on new features and thank you for putting the time ...

Flights to remote areas

One thing that has been requested is the ability to make flights to remote locations or places that are not officially airports. I had several idea's on how that could work and wanted some feedback. Remote Airports: These would be 'temporary' airports, based on a pilots account type they could creat...

Re: Maintenance Centers

Actually it goes magenta when past two year, I could have done red and could make it so if there is demand but wanted to show a difference if not flyable because of maintenance vs other statuses

Re: Maintenance and Fee Changes

Hi Joe, I do have an issue with this changeover, though... Several aircraft that I had on the Trader's List prior to this change going into effect, are now back in my virtual hangar and I can't sell them until I maintain them. I don't think it is fair to retroactively apply these new changes...

Re: Maintenance Centers

Hi We have an A350 F-WWYB at Dubai that was maintained (by an airline leasing the aircraft from us) a few weeks ago, but attempting to put it on the lease market we are told that it hasn't been repaired in a year. Other aircraft (eg E145 G-UBBK at EGLL) also are suffering from this same issue when ...

Re: Maintenance and Fee Changes

Very nice job Joe!!!
Only one addition, it is possible to add the airport of Teruel (LETL) as storage airports or are they fixed??
I have just changed Teruel to a storage airport, but FSA Aviation will not use it to park its 'for sale' aircraft.

Re: Maintenance and Fee Changes

Very nice job Joe..... Just one question, would it be possible to add Guarulhos Airport (SBGR) as storage airport? Regards As the primary international airport serving São Paulo and the busiest airport in South America I think SBGR is a true super airport, which is the opposite of a storage airport...

Re: Maintenance and Fee Changes

As you assumed, you won't be able to transfer if not maintained in two years, be aware I did add a lot of 'maintenance' records for aircraft that have not been maintained in a while so only about 4% will not have been maintained in two years. I am planning on turning it on some time April 1 or 2, de...

Re: Website down!

Sorry about that, crazy busy at work the last couple days, I had to give a presentation on how to program to the entire company, along with a big deadline coming and I am behind. I restarted the database earlier but restarted everything just now and things are running again.
