Landing Rate Detection in FSA

I am just curious how FSA determines landing rates. Several of our pilots use add on landing rate meters (LRM, kACARS, etc) and have expressed concern the rates they get off external meters do not match FSA. I have a theory - only a theory mind you - that somehow FSA is taking the not the initial to...

Re: Landing lights with CRJ700/900 Aerosoft

Have you tried the FSA hotkey workaround? Control/Shift/L Tells the Client to override any FSX landing light settings and turns lights on/off in the client only.

Re: Penalty Updates

Well I cannot adjust the max payload currently as when I set up a configuration for less passengers, it just max's out the cargo. If I take full passengers, it maxes out the cargo and then when fueling I can reduce either pax or cargo but only to get below max takeoff weight.

Re: Penalty Updates

OK, after doing some research here is the problem with max landing weight penalties...... FSA will load a top tier airline (rating 120) airplane full to the point it can exceed the max landing weight but not the gross takeoff weight.... so even if the pilot lands with fumes in the tanks, the exceede...

Re: Penalty Updates

What's with the "exceeded max landing weight"? Got one for Albeo Cessna 207 landing with 1 pax, 929 lbs of cargo and 108 lbs of fuel. no deduction but notation on flight report.

Re: Flight controls

Yes I am finding things out with experience too, what needs to be handy and what can be done on the screen once per flight with the mouse. I found it is much easier to have an "over under" monitor set up and just plug in the aircraft 2D panel to the lower monitor than trying to use external hardware...

Re: Flight controls

The little circuit boards are seen by the computer and FSX/FSUIPC as joystick buttons. You can get circuit boards that work with momentary switches/push buttons or others that send a "pulse" signal and allows you to use toggle switches. They even have one that does half and half. My first 737 "hybri...

Re: Airport Codes

UT52 is indeed the downtown hospital heliport but the old KSGU lies within range of it in ADE which is why my flight tripped the wrong airport landing at the old KSGU. UT52 is much closer to the lat/long of the old KSGU than the new KSGU lat/long. FSA is all about lat/long and when someone entered a...

Re: Airport Codes

For some Alaska new airports that we have created with Airport Design Editor (that don't exist in FSX), we have taken the 3 letter code and used it if the old one had a 4 letter code in FSX. Conversely if the old airport had the 4 letter code, our new one created would have the 3 letter code, thus ...

Re: Airport Codes

I think it's a good idea Joe! :) A lot of pilots have a similar problem when they update their payware plane's Navigraph data .... the FSX airport data never updates so they are flying current up to date charts/databases into 12 year old airports. Now this may work to practice a particular approach ...

Re: Server and Airport Upgrade

Cannot book flight. Says "There is a problem with the database, contact an admin". Another pilot in my airline tried to book a flight and is getting the same message. I sent in a support ticket as well.
