Re: Airport Codes

OH, unrelated but sorta kinda:

while you are in the airport database is there any way to change the sort field to location (nearest town) and not airport name?

Re: Airport Codes

Very good idea, we have to have a whole "conversion table" in our Alaska Bush Challenge series due to so many code differences between FSA and FSX. Question though: if/when re-coding, will all existing routes be auto changed? I would hope so. :) For some Alaska new airports that we have created with...

Re: New Year Poll

My request is simple right under the airline logo on the main page have an "auto generated" line from FSA saying date the airline was founded. "since 2006" or "founded in 2006" type of thing so a new pilot can see if they are trying to join an established firm or a fairly new operation that has figu...

Re: Fuel Prices

However, we are operating in a virtual world. If there are VA's within FSairlines that operate smaller aircraft in and out of the larger airports, they shouldn't have to take it on the chin and no longer be profitable, or have to modify their route structure to adapt to the new fuel prices. After a...

Re: Fuel Prices

Avgas (100-110LL) should be really expensive at major airports, a deterrent as it were to keep small planes out of the area. Example shown for Las Vegas NV, USA at this link http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/KLAS/businesses Smaller general aviation planes should be using area "feeder" airport...

Re: Some thoughts on Penalties.

Ah OK, then me seeing a huge penalty long ago had to be coincidental with another pilot issue in the airline at the time. I've just avoided it since. LOL

Re: Some thoughts on Penalties.

My final comment and I'll shush ..... I need clarification on an existing "penalty" I am sure many of you have noticed we do have a 'divert' button on the client already, press it land anywhere you want, and end the flight without penalty, and without income. Then start a new flight from the diverte...

Re: Some thoughts on Penalties.

I think if a pilot clicks any "disable" feature, like Joe said above, it will reflect in overall rating. Good way to keep people from "beating the system". Yeah we'll let you turn it off but you won't see a 100%. Regarding the aircraft in question (Lear Payware), why don't you just climb to 1K befor...

Re: Some thoughts on Penalties.

I am not suggesting any penalty for letting aircraft sit. Just saying it should be serviced if it has been sitting one calendar year. KIS Keep It Simple. I don't think any airline owner (which I am not) wants to spend all their time doing paperwork instead of flying. As the to the service interval, ...

Re: Some thoughts on Penalties.

It would be nice to know the "grade" of landings that take the aircraft status down say .1 or .2, etc. I do understand the status is a cumulative thing of all landings since the last service. Our airline grades landings in the following manner: less than -100 is a "green" in our grade, aka 'greaser'...
