Re: New Parking Fee's - Billing Nightmare?

Greetings to all. Mr. Joe Fremont. Do not sing victory yet... ViasaVirtual Airlines, we are preparing a document, in which we will be making our disagreements on this issue of parking fees and maintenance workshops. Stay tuned... Re: Leasing without charge

Actually there is code in place that will cancel the lease without payment if the VA does not use the aircraft. VA's were using the leasing system as a way to transfer money between airlines. Leasing and immediately cancelling, so if the aircraft is leased and cancelled within a short time, and is n...

Re: Training flights

It's a good idea, only that it occurs to me that maybe they make a school flight to an airport to move a pilot or plane to operate at another airport. Exactly, using a school flight as a free transfer. I suppose we could always just charge the VA for the actual fuel used in the training flight (at ...

Training flights

Hi Flyers, I have though for some time that 'training flights' could be used as a free way to transfer aircraft and that was a hole that should be fixed, but was not sure if there was a fair way to fix it, but the other day I had a brain wave I though I would share. Lets say when a pilot take a plan...

Re: New Parking Fee's - Billing Nightmare?

Wow, three days into June and not one complaint about the parking transactions that were generated the beginning of the month. Must have gotten it right this time. :D

Re: Google Maps

All the maps should be working now.

Sorry I spent the week working on maps rather than cargo but it had to be done.

Re: Missing pilots after Dismissed condition

There is a system that if a pilot has not logged in for a while there account can get deleted. But if they are part of an active airline and have flown some flights (10 I think) they will not be removed. I looked at one of your missing pilots 'Joan Lamelas' and they had not flown any flights.

Re: Thoughts on Cargo

The details on exactly how it will work are still being worked out as I am still writing it. But I expect that once you book a flight you will then have an option for 'Loading Packages' where the pilot can select from available packages at the airport to load onto the aircraft. The screen I am worki...

Re: ICAO CHANGES

But where is that real data, where is your source of truth. We have over 50,000 airports in our database, who is to say what is right and what is wrong. We are also a very small site, we don't have the money to pay someone to curate the airport database. So then lets use the airports in the sim, the...

Re: New Parking Fee's - Billing Nightmare?

Just FYI for all those who think long term parking should be "free" ..... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/boeing-is-paying-dollar2000-a-month-to-park-each-grounded-jet/ar-AABQC9B?ocid=spartandhp 2000$ a month for each 737 max, interesting. Did the math and that comes to about 1$ per 1000 ...

Re: Thoughts on Cargo

I had assumed you would do all the package management in the website, and the 'package flight' would be a different flight type, alongside 'scheduled' and 'training'. you certainly could not book a normal flight and then tell the passengers who signed up for it, sorry this is cargo only. The updates...

Re: ICAO CHANGES

Replace it the Kyrgyz airports the ICAO-codes from the celestial one onto the present one. I am going to repeat myself and will use large type so you don't miss it. So the rule we use here is that if an airport exists in FSX we will always use the code that exists in FSX, no exceptions. We will not...
