There are a number of pilots here who like to start a 10+ hour long haul flight and once they are up to cruise alt they will go to bed, not watching the console at all until sometime much later when they wake up and land the AC, I would hate for those pilots to get some sort of bonus for that kind o...

SnakeBite, I assume that you are referring to the 'first flight officer', 'flight captain' ranks that appear in the signature image, and you are correct, its totally dependant on the number of flights minus any penalties. While this is not realistic I do think its fair. For most flights the challeng...

I think the best we could come up with is a system that calculated a price based on 1) National fuel tax on av gas (if any) 2) Distance from this airport to the closest refinery 3) The size of the airport (smaller airports have less storage and this limits supply) 4) The amount of fuel sold at this ...

Ok, some examples: A DC3 flight from EGLL to EGCC carried 1333kg for 2110v$ the rate is 1.20v$/kg/100nm. A VC15 flight from EGLL to EGCC carried 7650kg for 6585v$ the rate is 0.66v$/kg/100nm. A B744 flight from EGCC to EGLL carried 24931kg for 10209v$ the rate is 0.31v$/kg/100nm. The rate per kg is ...

Those rates are per 100nm, plus the KJFK-EGCC flight was probably using a larger aircraft. The more cargo you carry and the farther you carry it the less you get per kg and per mile, but you will make more over all than shorter flights with smaller AC. The exact formula is one of Konnys secrets.

My usual method of flying long flights is to climb to my target altitude and then accelerate to x16 and continue to monitor the gauges, mostly to monitor fuel consumption. I understand that some pilots think this is tantamount to cheating, but I can't see how someone can say that's bad but leaving i...

Confirm to cancel partnership

Would it be possible to add a 'Are you sure' step to canceling a partnership. Today I clicked in the wrong spot and before I knew it, it was too late.

I don't know enough about the captian sim model to speculate as to what caused the loss of fuel. It is odd that even though the flight shows a crash, the airlines repuation is still 120 and the aircrafts repair status is still 99.6.

Which model of the 707 were you using (captian sim, HJG,,,,), is there a fuel dump valve you could have opened? I don't think there is anything in the flynet client that could cause that to happen, it might shut off an engine or cause the flaps or landing gear to not open.

The new statistics page is much more beautiful than the previous one. However I don't agree with the restriction that only airlines with 3 active pilots in last 60 days are displayed. For example Ionathan Airlines ended October with the highest passengers market share in FlyNet with only two active...

:D Its good to see my work up and in use. Just a few notes on how it works, you can group the data on all airlines, all pilots, all aircraft or pilots within an airline. If you are wondering why your airline might not be in the list, it only shows airlines where at least 3 pilots have flown flights ...
