Statistics

I don't know if anybody has taken a look at the Statistics page in the flynet database section, but with all the new small airlines we have the table is almost unreadable with half the airlines off the page. A simple change could be to just have a table that shows the top ten airlines by market shar...

Actually Chris they are the same airplane. Its simply a difference between what Lockheed marketing called it and whats on the FAA type certificate. All civilian herks are called called L100's just as all military versions are called C130's. The type certificates for the the C130A lists it as the L18...

Biggest problem I see for sea plane operations is the lack of a parking brake on aircraft without wheels, how would you end the flight if there is no parking brake to set?

Personally I dont have a problem with the failure system but then I have not had a gear failure yet. But I do think there should be better reporting of them in the flight reports.

Question about gear failures, can you still press CTRL-G to manually lower the gear? If not you should be able to.

If the airport does not exist in flight sim you will probably have to cancel your booked flight and transfer your aircraft to another airport, this can be done from your fleet page.

Actually the database has you at EGCN, which was probably the closest airport to you that was in the database. You should be able to setup your route from there.

John, yes it does look like the cargo capacity is a factor, along with distance and ticket price but the actual way its calculated is still a bit of a mystery. With passangers we have a pretty good idea how much revenue a flight will generate, but cargo it's not very predictable.

This is a subject I have asked about before but never got a good answer. Just looking at flights from my airline between the same two cities (KSFO and KLAX) the cargo rate fluctuates between 0.38 and 1.11 with all flights having the same ticket price, the price does seam consistent within each aircr...

Route conlicts

When determining route conflicts between partner airlines, I don't think that conflicts with training flights should be considered conflicts.

FLight Diversions

I know implementing flight diversions has been an often discussed and much requested new feature for flynet, here are some idea's I had on how it should be implemented in its simplest form. 1) Some time before the aircraft lands the pilot, using the flynet client or flynet website enters the ICAO co...

I don't know why its not showing up in the list but you don't need a type rating for a personal aircraft. Also you don't need to order a personal aircraft, just go to the hanger section in your profile and follow the buy aircraft link.

I think that putting the reasons for changes in reputation in the Critique section of the flight report. I would suggest we also include the amount of the change along with it, maybe something like: a perfect flight (+1) Engine Failure (-4) Aircraft Crashed (-15) where the number in parentheses is t...
