Actually Lief, there are lots of direct real world flights between LAX and Heathrow (including by UAL, BA, AA, and more). There are real world flights where they will take off with two crews on board, and they will switch in flight. If we were to implement some sort of hours limitations how would su...

Pete it may not be wrong, if you buy to much fuel on your out bound flight and have a lot left over, and then only buy enough additional fuel to return, your block fuel or fuel used will be higher on the return flight than the fuel bought. Example Flight Initial fuel Fuel Bought Block Fuel Remaining...

I am in agreement with Quantum and Justin, there is enough real cheating going on with slewing and fuel games that flying 18 hours at 16x is not really a problem. I think that if a flight is suspected of fuel cheating, the flight should be retroactively converted to a something similar to a training...

I think it would be a wash. If someone over charges on there ticket price and has extra seats, they would then sell the extra at bargain rates, the net effect would be that they would get close to the market rate for there 'average' ticket price. This would remove any incentive to set your ticket pr...

I don't want to be the only one against this but there are times that I would be inviolation of this rule. I have flown the LAX, auckland, Sydney, LAX route at x16, and then done a couple more flights that same physical day. Granted thats more than 24 hours of flying time and if I could not do that ...

To appear in the drop down list of airlines, your airline needs to have had three different active pilots in the last 60 days. The theory behind this is that showing the individual stats between pilots within an airline is not very useful when there are only one or two active pilots.

Topic: Percentage of aircraft cost to aircraft revenue

I did a comparison of some of the aircraft in my airline, in terms of average revenue per hour, factoring out the multiplier and crew costs: Lockheed L-1011: 14748 Boeing 727-200 Adv: 8228 Douglas DC-4: 2624 Douglas DC-3: 1841 But if you then divide that by the aircraft price (in millions) you get: ...

At this time there is no limit. For current production aircraft you can buy as many as you have cash for and for out of production aircraft you can just keep requesting more be added to the market, again as long as you have the cash and don't annoy the admins too much. Not the most realistic system ...

Actually having reputation go up when the multiplier goes down is a good idea.

You do get a revenue bonus at 1x, 20% more profit compared to 8x. But there is no penalties that I know of.

Personally I think its up to the CEO's and the pilots if they use compression or not, they already get less revenue because of the lower bonus. Personally I have more respect for someone who watches that 8000nm flight zip at 16x than someone who sleeps through that same flight at 1x.

Not all crashes would require a D-Check, if an aircraft bumps into another AC or the terminal while taxing FS will register it as a crash but in real life relativly minor repairs will be required to get it back in the air.
