Re: FSAirlines v1.0a - Known Problems

The answer to both questions is yes but not officially. We setup the fsairlines site but the data in it was copied from early March, its just there for testing. When we make the official move all the airline data there will be wiped clean and replaced with airline from the flynet.turksim.org site. S...

Re: flynet wierdness

Since two engines shut down I don't think the flynet client caused the problem but if you landed normally at KJFK I don't know why it recorded a crash.

Re: aircraft not at planned airport *error message*

Did you book the flight at the FSAirlines.net site or the flynet.turksim.org site? If you are using client 0.6.9b with the FSAirlines.net site there is your problem, since that client communicates with the flynet.turksim.org site.

E-Mail Verification

I made an update to the FSAirlines web site so that when you register you will need to enter an unique e-mail address. After your register or if you update your profile and change your e-mail address a validation code will be sent to the new address that you will have to enter back on the web site t...

Re: VA search

I think there might be some value in a page where we give a billboard of some kind for the top airlines where we show the logo, description, count of pilots, aircraft, routes, flights in last week, etc. Once question would be how do you define top airlines? Most flights over a period of time? Most a...

Re: Early Returns?

The idea behind it was to insure that sufficient funds to pay for repairs if an airline ran out of cash. Once we implement an loan and bankruptcy system, it will have more meaning.

Re: Using real world airline names....

No, I don't think we are going to limit the codes. The consern is trademarks, a companies name and logo are trademarked and companies will often fight to protect them. Codes are not protected the same way.

Re: Using real world airline names....

This is probably something we should build into the main site. So if they enter a name of a real airline they are told so and can enter something else. Just need to get a good list of active airlines.

Re: Idle curiousity

To test the FSAirlines website the database was copied from the FlyNET database a couple of months ago. Once we make the official move we will again copy the database from FlyNET to FSAirlines so all your current accounts will be transferred. Unfortunately all the new accounts on FSAirlines created ...

Yes, we could require that users register on the forum, but even if they went through the steps to register that does not mean there ever going to read it.

Re: Cargo Question - again

I think the difference is that for the first two flights the weight information for the MD-90 was incorrect. I compared the values in our database to boeings numbers and they are correct, and for the last flight with 1508kg of cargo I did the math and with 172 passangers at 102kg of person(77kg) and...
