Topic: Percentage of aircraft cost to aircraft revenue

I did a comparison of some of the aircraft in my airline, in terms of average revenue per hour, factoring out the multiplier and crew costs: Lockheed L-1011: 14748 Boeing 727-200 Adv: 8228 Douglas DC-4: 2624 Douglas DC-3: 1841 But if you then divide that by the aircraft price (in millions) you get: ...

At this time there is no limit. For current production aircraft you can buy as many as you have cash for and for out of production aircraft you can just keep requesting more be added to the market, again as long as you have the cash and don't annoy the admins too much. Not the most realistic system ...

Actually having reputation go up when the multiplier goes down is a good idea.

You do get a revenue bonus at 1x, 20% more profit compared to 8x. But there is no penalties that I know of.

Personally I think its up to the CEO's and the pilots if they use compression or not, they already get less revenue because of the lower bonus. Personally I have more respect for someone who watches that 8000nm flight zip at 16x than someone who sleeps through that same flight at 1x.

Not all crashes would require a D-Check, if an aircraft bumps into another AC or the terminal while taxing FS will register it as a crash but in real life relativly minor repairs will be required to get it back in the air.

Two more Bugs for client 6.6b

Two problems I discovered with the new client 6.6 Problem 1) - Start up the client, - select fly book flight, - enter the amount of fuel you want and start the flight, - kill and restart the client - the client remembers the amount of fuel we entered we previously and when the flight ends we are not...

Maybe we could do something with competition, flights that have a shorter flight time could get a competitive advantage over flights that have longer times, but if your late your reputation gets a hit.

I would think the time should be based on the times based on the original flight times in the database, and should only apply if the flight is late, most passangers will be happy if they are early.

I just checked this myself, the client clearly says 'STEP 3: enter amount of fuel to be added'.

I belive it was changed to work this way with the new 6.5

My votes for the next things to do to the client are:

- Refueling stops,
- More flight information in the PIREP (landing speed, repuation changes),
- Automatic suspending of non officer pilots who crash.

Actually the hours and miles are only there on your personal profile page not the page that lists all the pilots in the airline, although it does show rating (which to me is more valuable) and you could add up the miles from all the flight logs. I am not opposed to adding these, but what I think wou...

Adding engine type may be useful, as piston engines are less reliable and cost more to maintain than turbine engines and FlyNET could take advantage of that to calculate maintenance costs or when failures happen. Not certain if we need range though.

Not too sure about the landing fee, just another expense on the flights that lowers margins but does not really change things much. An parking fee sounds more interesting but like to hear more of the details.
