Re: Airline name rule - Government agencies

The decision is correct; even more so when it concerns a Government agency

Re: Beta Client 2.6

Some while ago it recorded me landing a DC3 at EGLC when I was at EGLL. I will have to "move" the aircraft back to EGLL as there just isn't enough runway to get the DC3 airborne there, never mind the climb performance required for obstacle clearance!

Re: FSA down? (Client unable to connect)

My fsairlines.ini file was completely blank (0 bytes)

However I added that line (including spaces) but the problem still exists.

Client still shows as connecting to the normal server not the relay server

Re: FSA down?

Tried that, launched the client but when I entered my login details it froze and eventually crashed.

Tried reinstalling, same result!

Re: FSA down?

I simply cannot launch the client.

Completed a flight, set the park brake and the client crashed.

OK I thought, i'll restore things, but the client won't launch.

Let's have a quick look in the debug file - Notepad crashes if I try to open it.

Ideas?

Flight Aborted

Client 2.5.1, which has between working OK for a while.

Trying to fly a DHC6 from EGKK to EGHC, load 200Kg fuel each side, reduce pax to get below MTOW, click FLY.

Within 5 seconds client aborts flight and returns to home screen

Re: Client 2.6 ideas.

35 knots is a ridiculously fast taxi speed.

If the flight model does that at idle thrust then simply use the brakes to control ground speed.

Re: Mandatory ETD and ETA and old planes

Well said Cat.

Still an FSX fan with no huge intent (or cash) to buy a whole new PC in order to upgrade the sim.

Re: Client 2.6 ideas.

Yes, they are from two different flights.

I am using WIN7, FSX.

First one was client 2.3.3 so very old, second is with current 2.5.1

Re: Client 2.6 ideas.

Exhausted fuel supply, even on the ground, is a clear sign on poor fuel planning, or not deciding to divert early enough.

Leave that one alone.

Current client has a habit of misreading the fuel weight or aircraft weight, cure is to click "BACK" and then try again, but it is a bug.

Re: Taxi on the Runway

High speed taxiing is not good for the tyres, could easily lead to blowouts.

On long runways with limited turn off taxiways ATC will increase spacing on approach to allow time to slow down and vacate.

Keep the ground speed limit as it is.

Re: Fuel storage

The biggest advantage would be when a plane comes in and has more fuel on it than needed in the next flight it could be transfered to the storage tank, You must have landed below MLW or you get a penalty, so how can there be too much fuel for the next flight, the aircraft is already within weight l...
